The Rockit baby rocker

Getting out of the house with a baby can feel like a military operation. Timing naps, keeping things calm, and hoping your little one stays asleep while you try to enjoy a coffee or meal can be super challenging. That’s why discovering the Rockit Baby Rocker was such a game changer for us.

Disney’s sequoia lodge

For this trip, we stayed at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge. Having previously stayed at Newport Bay, Hotel New York, and the Disneyland Hotel (before its refurbishment), we thought it was time to try this lakeside hotel.

Toby's first Dr's visit - Abroad!

We’d barely finished the last of the Christmas leftovers when we packed our bags, bundled up our tiny Toby, and headed to Lanzarote for some much‑needed winter sun. In true festive fashion, Toby was passed lovingly and repeatedly around the entire family in the days leading up to our departure. So it was hardly surprising that, shortly after arriving on the island, he developed the predictable post‑Christmas cold.

Flying With a Baby: The Plane Essentials I Swear By ✈️👶

Let’s be honest: flying with a baby feels a bit like preparing for a tiny, unpredictable boss who will file complaints if their needs aren’t met immediately. Our journey began with a tiny adventurer

My name is Daisy, and Toebeanstravels began after my husband and I welcomed our baby in November last year. As a GP, I’m no stranger to supporting new parents and caring for little ones, but learning to look after my own tiny human 24/7 has been a completely different, humbling, and heart‑melting adventure.

Having enjoyed countless trips together to over 40 countries, the thought of travelling with a newborn felt equal parts daunting and exciting. Yet our first journey with our 6‑week‑old to Lanzarote proved something wonderful: with thoughtful planning, realistic expectations, and the right accessories, travelling as new parents isn’t just doable, it can be joyful, grounding, and incredibly fulfilling.

This blog is where I share everything I learn along the way: practical tips rooted in both medical knowledge and lived experience, honest reflections on the realities of travelling with a baby, and my favourite pieces of gear that actually make a difference.

Whether you're preparing for your first trip with your little one or seeking reassurance that adventure is still within reach, I hope you find confidence, community, and inspiration here.

Let’s explore the world together, tiny toebeans and all, and make unforgettable memories with the people we love most.
